BugHotel Reservation System wasn't able to create the folder templates_c automatically, this can also happen because the folder templates_c does not have enought permissions, it needs to be chmod 777

Unable to create the folder templates_c

BugHotel Reservation System wasn't able to create the folder templates_c automatically.

This usually only affects Unix/Linux environments.

BugHotel Reservation System and its template engine Smarty need to have write permittions to the templates_c diretory. When this happens BugHotel Reservation System cannot generate the scripts because a permisions problem.

When this error is displayed, one of 2 things can be the cause:

1. The templates_c folder isn't created
2. Apache/Other have server doesn't have write permissions to the templates_c directory
   

Please create the folder manually via ftp,telnet,ssh or remote desktop and make sure the folder is writable by everyone.

Instructions:

Via SSH/Telnet

1. mkdir templates_c
2. chmod 666 templates_c -R
3. chmod g+s templates_c

Via FTP Client Program (Using FlashFXP as an example but other ftp client can be used)

• Connect to your webserver via ftp and change to the shopping cart builder directory
• Right check the mouse and choose Make folder (see image bellow)

• From the new folder box write templates_c (As seen on the picture bellow)

• Once the folder is created locate it and right click on it. Once the menu appears locate Attributes (CHMOD) and press it (See the picture bellow)

• The change attributes window will appear. Check the checkboxes Read and Write from the Owner, Group and Pulic columns (See picture bellow). Make suer you also check the check box that says Apply changes to all subfolders and files.

That's it. BugHotel Reservation System should be working now.
